Congratulations to Danville Diamond Cheyénne (14 years old), who in December and January collected and put together appreciation packs for frontline workers to show how much they are appreciated.
Since starting Cheyénne has prepared 550 appreciation packs with 400 of these having already been delivered to various frontline workers. These packs contain items like Powerade, Energade, Water, Biscuits, Chocolate and Tea and Coffee Sachets depending on the donations received from the local community.
Cheyénne has inspired numerous people with her “Super Hero Packs”, with a lady messaging that it had inspired her Mom, from Greytown, to do the same for the nurses at the clinics she is involved with.
Cheyénne also received a voice note saying a Pretoria Lieutenant Colonel from the Police Airwing had seen a picture on social media of a “Super Hero” pack and was so impressed a teenager was behind the kindness to the frontline workers that he decided they wanted to do the same in Pretoria.
Due to the great response, she has had, Cheyénne will be continuing with this initiative even though the school holidays are now over.
If you would like to get involved or donate items, contact Cheyénne’s mother (Gwynn) on 082 338 5721
