It’s tough for many business owners and employees through this lockdown period; we all feel a bit disconnected and lost in uncertainty with COVID-19. There are a few things that we can do during lockdown to reconnect with each other.

  1. Use video: there are many ways to connect with people through technology using video conferencing, a face to face meeting over video can be a welcoming and uplifting experience – use Whatsapp Video Calling, ZoomMicrosoft Teams or Skype.
  2. Blog – blogging is a great way to keep your customers and followers motivated, and up to date, you are all professionals in your fields, giving advice and sharing knowledge can strengthen relationships and keep you front of mind. You can also share inspiring and motivational tips to help people through this time. Work on relevant articles that you can post on your blog. 
  3. Google My Business – Are you on Google My Business? Have you claimed your listing? If not, you should do this, posting on Google My business and getting reviews increases visibility.   4. Social Media – Social media is a hive of activity at the moment, posting consistently can help keep you front of mind, be human though, speak to people like people. This is not a time for powerselling, but a time for building relationships and connecting with each other. You can also plan your social media for the months to come, starting with holidays and special days.
